Elvira is out in the real world! Meet her on the blog tour this week.
This was a lovely week. Great to ‘meet’ all those wonderful book bloggers.
Author talk at Poole Central Library 7 p.m. Thursday evening November 9th 2017. A free event but the library likes you to book in advance: Tel. 01202 262449 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
More news coming soon! I’m having a paperback book launch at the lovely Westbourne Bookshop, near Bournemouth, Dorset on Saturday, July 21st at 2 p.m.
It was a lovely, and well-attended event. I made a cake based on the book’s cover – tricky to get the icing on in one piece without cracking! Thanks to Paul and Rachel Angell for hosting.
I’m beyond thrilled for ‘Elvira’ to be shortlisted for the Society of Authors McKitterick prize and honoured to be in such good company. The award is for a debut novel written by an author over forty. The prize will be given at the Awards Evening on July 19th 2018 with Stephen Fry doing the honours! Thanks to my wonderful agent Juliet Mushens and the lovely Sam Humphreys at Mantle/Pan Macmillan for getting me this far.
Runner-up! See Blog page for a photo of me with the great Stephen Fry!
